In a press release issued on Sunday, AAPSU has thanked the generous contributors at national level as well as in state and appreciated the Chief Minister for his effort and the legislators for their personal contributions. The union has also thanked the NGOs and all those individuals for making generous contributions. While appealing all the indigenous people of the state to support the state government and make contributions to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF), AAPSU has appealed the people not to harass the doctors, paramedics and other medical staff who are risking their lives in fighting the pandemic.
Appeal has also gone out to all business welfare organisations of the state to ensure availability of essential food items without any price hike and also to contribute to the CMRF. It has further appealed all rent owners to exempt one month’s rent for the business sections, students and poor tenants severely affected by the lockdown and to the people of the state not to disrupt the supply of essential commodities.
