Itanagar, Nov 29: The 11th AAPSA-Sahodaya Talent Search was inaugurated today by Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mama Natung here amidst a huge gathering of students, parents, teachers and heads of educational institutions.
In his address to the 1600 strong gathering, the Minister congratulated AAPSA for contributing to the well-being of education in the state and coming up with the innovative concept of talent search. He also committed to take up the issue of improving the condition of road leading to Donyi Polo Vidhya Bhawan with the Chief Minister and assured all assistance for sporting activities in private schools. Guest of Honour, AIGP, Arunachal Pradesh Kime Aya while appreciating the concept called upon the students to inculcate a sense of competitiveness. General Secretary, AAPSA and Principal of the host school Levi E. Katy said that the initiative will build collaboration among private schools. While giving an overview of AAPSA and its activities, founder patron of AAPSA Fr. Cyriac SDB said that the association is a non-religious, non-sectarian and non-political organization which has its focus on education and well-being of the youths of Arunachal and requested the Minister to be the Chief Patron of next AAPSA-SAHODAYA Talent Search. The new Vice President of AAPSA, Fr. Joshua SDB also spoke on the occasion.  Students of Auxilium School, Gohpur presented a prayer dance invoking God’s blessings on the event.  A special award of recognition was given to the newly joined treasurer, Pradeep Kumar, Principal of Little Star School for his contribution to its growth.
The two-day sporting, cultural and literacy extravaganza will see participation of about 1400 students. AAPSA PR
