ITANAGAR, Mar 6: The All Arunachal Contractors Welfare Association (AACWA) appealed the Finance department not to hold files related to contractors bill payments without any valid reason.
In a release the AACWA regretted that contractors who completed and are executing government project by depositing security amounts against awarded projects have to face untold hardship due to non release of payment timely by concern executing departments.
It is also stated that when concerned department gives budgetary support, approves the expenditure with LOC authorization along with geo tagging of a particular project before awarding the tender works then there is no reason for keeping files for observation once tender work completes.
"If this trend is not stopped now, the contractors fraternity may file a litigation case against the concerned departments for unnecessarily delaying the payment to contractors," it appealed.
