RUKSIN, Apr 3: In the wake of surging coronavirus cases in the country, Additional District Magistrate of Ruksin, Kabit Apang through an order promulgated curfew in Ruksin Sub-division bordering Assam for 48 hours starting from Saturday morning (5 am of April 4 to April 6 midnight) to stop the infection from spreading.
The curfew will be enforced only in Ruksin sub-division of East Siang district covering Ruksin, Bilat and Sille-Oyan circles. The order completely bans movement of persons and any vehicular traffic during the scheduled period. However, essential services will be allowed to run with prior approval of the local police during the curfew hours.
The curfew order has also exempted ferrying of medical patients, movement of security personnel and fire & emergency services. The order has warned that any violator shall be prosecuted under relevant sections of the IPC.
