NAHARLAGUN, May 22: The Price Monitoring Team constituted by the Lohit District administration has conducted surprise inspection at Sunpura Market today and booked 4 shopkeepers for selling packaged commodities items beyond MRP.   
On receipt of complaints from public of Sunpura Circle, 32km from Tezu, the team consists of East Zone Deputy Controller Minte Siga and Asstt. Controller Legal Metrology C S Singpho swan into action and raided several trading premises of Sunpura market today. In course of inspection, four shopkeepers were found not only selling cold drinks items beyond MRP but was also selling varieties of packaged items without the mandatory information as required under Legal Metrology (packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011. The erring traders have been booked been booked for violation of provisions of LM Act. 
In their interaction with the traders of Sunpura market, the team cautioned them not to sell commodities beyond MRP or the rates fixed by the District Administration else to face the legal action as per the provisions of law.
