NAMSAI, Jan 17: Four low cost sanitary napkin making units have been set up under MLALAD of 47-Namsai (ST) Assembly Constituency and are being run by PLF of Lathao, Piyong, Jaipur and an NGO of Namsai headquarters. All self help group members were trained by company trainer and production has already started. An amount of Rs.14.54 lakhs has been provided by the local MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom. The group members are selling their product during Sarkar Aapke Dwaar programme and the quality of the product is being appreciated by the general public.. These low cost napkin making units will not only cater the needs of poor women but also enhance their income level and will make them financially independent.
