PASIGHAT, Jun 21: In an encouraging news for East Siang and the state in general, four COVID -patients were discharged from Covid Hospital here today, after two consecutive RT-PCR of the patients tested negative. Two of the discharged are frontline workers, while the other two recovered are returnees.
Local MLA,Kaling Moyong, interacting with each of them and lauding their positive spirit , handed the discharge certificate and bouquet to a recovered patient. He credited the hard work and care of the doctors, nurses and other support staff and all frontline workers.
Moyong said that we all have to adapt to the new normal post covid situation by strictly following preventive measures of social distancing,avoiding gatherings, wearing masks and cleanliness and hygiene to keep the virus away.
DC East Siang, Dr.Kinny Singh, said 24X7 care and efforts of the frontline workers are to be appreciated.
Jt. DHS, Dr. D.Raina, DMO,Dr. Kaling Dai also presented discharge certificates and bouquets. MS, BPGH, Dr. YR Darrang, Medicine Specialist ,Dr. T Tali were also present on the occasion.
The four recovered patients are out of the total nine patients under covid care in the district.
District Surveillance Officer, Dr. Tarik Talom, advised them to strictly follow 14 days home quarantine and briefed on guidelines to be followed.
They were escorted in a vehicle provided by the Health department. With this, Covid Positive patients in East Siang is now reduced to 5 patients. DIPRO
