ZIRO, May 6: Minister Agriculture, Horticulture and allied departments Er. Tage Taki inaugurated the four bed Intensive Care unit at Gyati Takka Health Center today.
This hospital has been designated as COVID zonal hospital for the neighbouring districts.
Congratulating the medical team and the RWD department for completing the four bedded ICU in record time, the Minister was confident that the morale of the health workers and the public will be boosted with the ICU becoming functional.
“Crucial times are ahead of us, as our people stranded across the country will be brought back to the state in a phased manner.  We will have to collectively brace up our efforts to maintain the green zone status of our state,” he said while assuring all possible assistance to improvise the healthcare system.
DMO Dr. Tage Kanno expressed gratitude to his entire medical team of dedicated doctors and nurses in his address.  “I am privileged to be working with such dedicated doctors and nurses,” he said. 
The ICU has been installed under the continuous supervision of Dr. Roto Robo, Medicine Specialist and Dr. Bengia Abo, Child Specialist and executed by RWD department.
Dr. Subu Habung, DPO, IDSP and Nodal Officer COVID briefed about the preparedness of the District health Society for COVID.
The minister later inspected the COVID wards and interacted with the doctors and nurses. The Gyati Takka COVID health care can house 60 patients.
Chief Election Commissioner and former Health Secretary Hage Kojin, Deputy Commissioner Nending Chatung , TSD President Hage Tado, Rtd DMO Dr. Dani Duri, Bamin Tade attended the inaugural program. DIPRO
