PASIGHAT, Sep 22: Four Arunachal youths are part of the NCC football team selected for the upcoming Under-14 Subroto Cup to be held in Bengaluru from October 2 to 23 next. Tajum Popak, Oken Ruku, Taram Popak and Tasen Podo are the youngsters  from Arunachal, all hailing from Manigong in Shi Yomi district, selected to be part of the 16-member team comprising players from the North East region.
NCC Group HQ Dibrugarh in collaboration with Indian Army has selected and trained the team with the third and final training camp featuring cadets from all the states of North East region culminating at Rayang Military Station today.
Three Selection cum Training Camps were conducted by NCC Group HQ Dibrugarh at Rayang Military Station in East Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh under the aegis of Spear Head Division/ Spear Corps from Jun to Aug 23. These camps provided a platform to the young boys to showcase their talent, dedication and sportsmanship. The Indian Army and NCC have consistently extended their support to the local communities, emphasizing the importance of education, discipline and overall development for the youth.
