ITANAGAR, Jun 11:The 3rd general conference of Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) was held today at Administrative Training Institute (ATI) Naharlagun. More than 200 delegates from various districts and federating units participated in the conference.
After threadbare discussion, the house adopted few resolutions which include immediate implementation of higher allowances under 7th Central Pay Commission in toto, establishment of ‘Common Directorate office complex’ for all departments at a suitable location.
It also rejected the committee constituted to examine the higher allowances under 7th CPC and instead suggested the government to constitute an expert committee to study the National Pension Scheme (NPS), MACP for teachers, implementation of FR-56 to increase the minimum retirement age to 62 years.
Over the issue of compulsory NOC (No objection certificate) for promotion, MACP, and Deputation & Retirement of government employees, the house opined that NOC system should be applicable to all citizens without categorization and targeting only government employees otherwise it must be withdrawn completely.
Later the house unanimously appointed Pate Marik as President and Gonya Riba as Secretary General, CoSAAP for next tenure.
