ITANAGAR, Sep 5: Teachers’ Day was celebrated across the State today. At the State level, the Teachers’ Day was celebrated at Dorjee Khandu Convention Hall, Itanagar and the programme was graced by Minister PHE, WS & DoTCL Wangki Lowang and legislator Kaling Moyong as chief guest and guest of honour in presence of Secretary (Education), Dr Madhu Rani Teotia and Director of Elementary & Secondary Education. On the occasion, 35 teachers were bestowed the State Teacher Award-2019 in a befitting manner. This time contractual teachers, KV teachers, VKV and recognised private school teachers were also considered.
Addressing the gathering, Lowang appreciated the hard work and contribution of the teachers and also exhorted them to rededicate themselves to improve the educational scenario in the state. DIPR
