BOMDILA, Jan 6: The nearly 3-month-long UPSC/ APPSC Scholarship Program, a CSR Praytna Initiative of Vision IAS Delhi and District Administration, West Kameng concluded on Friday.
A pet project of DC West Kameng, Akriti Sagar, 25 aspirants will finally be selected for free coaching in hybrid mode provided by Vision IAS, valued at approximately Rs. 40 lakhs.
The program, the only one being implemented for the very first time in Arunachal Pradesh, is amongst the very few, successfully executed in the entire North East Region.
January 4 and 5, saw over 40 students appear for the Viva, interviewed by a panel of Expert UPSC mentors who arrived all the way from Delhi, and who were pleasantly surprised at the quality of aspirants who appeared for the interview. The DC also presided over one session.
Executed by the District Labour and Employment Office, the program is set to benefit deserving and hardworking aspirants immensely, many of whom do not possess the necessary resources to move out to the cities to prepare, and who hope to crack the prestigious civil services exam, both at the Central and State Level.
A program of this scale, while easy to perceive, requires good linkages from the very beginning. DC Akriti Sagar made sure it is successfully implemented to the very end.
Results are awaited, and are expected to be declared in the next fortnight. DIPRO
