HOLLONGI, Jan 16: The week long 2nd interstate cultural exchange festival got underway amid huge gathering of local leaders and residents from both sides of the boundary of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam on Monday with the theme ‘promote traditional and cultural identity’.
Addressing the function, PWD Capital Division A, Executive Engineer Tana Nikam Tara said the endeavour must continue every year so that relationship among the people living on both sides of the Arunachal-Assam boundary remain cordial. Culture brings people closer, he said adding that matrimonial relationships also strengthen ties between all communities residing in the area.
While thanking the Global Human Right Organisation (GHRO) and committee members, he also appealed all to maintain peace and communal harmony and enjoy the diverse cultural event on display.
Guest of Honour, All Arunachal Pradesh Nursery Growers Association (AAPNGA) President Tai Mama, GHRO President and Organising Committee Chairman Yowa Bullet, among others addressed the inaugural function.
