ITANAGAR, Apr 22: After issuing the notification on wearing of masks as a must for all and Rs 100 penalty for those violating the order, Capital Police today imposed penalties on at least 281 denizens for not wearing masks in the township area.
“The amount collected through challans is being deposited to the State Government Treasury and we also distributed masks to these violators along with necessary advice,” informed SP Capital Tumme Amo. He also added that although no cases were registered, at least 281 persons were detained from various Nakas and later released.
“However, 3 vehicles were seized from different Naka locations and brought to the police station for violating the lockdown,” added Amo.
