ITANAGAR, Oct 13: In a surprise checking of inner line permit (ILP), 26 persons without ILP were arrested on Friday at Kankar Nallah under the active guidance of inspector Nikom Riba and were today expelled from the state, informed EAC Naharlagun, Hento Karga.

 

The EAC further informed that due to the intensified ILP checking in recent times, violators have also changed their modus operandi of making illegal entry by using vehicles moving during night hours.

 

The District Administration Capital Complex has directed the OC PS Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa to conduct regular surprise checking at night.

 

The Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan has time and again stressed that District Administration has zero tolerance against such violators and appealed people to refrain from such illegal activities.
