NAHARLAGUN, May 14: Team of Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs officers assisted by police personnel on Thursday inspected about 90 trading premises of Doimukh market, Dikrong Colony, Nirjuli and Rono areas. 
Led by Amrit Taba, Asstt Controller, Papum Pare District, Debia Tana, Inspector LM, G. Singpho Inspector, Er. Sangio Talar, TA, in their day long inspection of trading premises, came across irregularities in 23 shops including one wholesale dealer for which they have been booked for violation of Legal Metrology Act, 2009 mostly for selling commodities especially cold drink items at exorbitant price. 
"We will continue to crack the defaulters in the supply chain until the ethics of business norms is resumed particularly in capital complex and its neighbouring areas as most of the consumer complaints we received are from this locality," said Amrit Taba, ACLM cum District Consumer Protection Officer of Papum Pare District.
