NAHARLAGUN, Apr 20:

The weeklong fire safety campaign observed to create awareness among the public about fire hazards, safety and protection, successfully concluded today. All 23 Fire Stations across the state held various community outreach activities on fire safety in their respective jurisdiction on the theme “Fire loss is national loss”.

On the concluding day, SP (Fire & Emergency Services) Kime Aya while appreciating the officials for success of the campaign informed that series of awareness programs including demonstrations were conducted in educational institutions, hospitals, hotels etc.

The SP also stressed on ever increasing fire risks because of massive urbanization and requested the general public to remain alert and maintain precautionary measures to thwart fire mishaps. He also appealed the public to install fire safety equipment while constructing buildings both residential and commercial.

 

More than 200 fire fighters were engaged for successful observance under the twin capital.
