ITANAGAR, Jul 9:A primary health center situated in Liromoba circle in West Siang district suffers from chronic disease of having no allopathic doctor, paramedical staff or even sufficient stock of medicines.

Almost a hundred kilometres away from the district headquarters, this 20-year old PHC is the lifeline for the people of Liromoba and the surrounding villages. The health centre is run by a single homeopathic doctor but his woes are compounded by lack of supply of medicines from the district headquarters.

A local student organization, Kargu Kardi Students Union, has informed that it has submitted many representations to the District Medical Officer (DMO) for appointment of an allopathic doctor and stockpiling of sufficient medicines which unfortunately has failed to evoke any response.
