NAMSAI, Feb 4: The 15th Raising Day of 186 CRPF BN was observed in a befitting manner here at Joypur with VS Sharma DIGP Dibrugarh unveiling the mini fair that had a sizeable local participation.
Hordes of visitors from the CRPF as well as civilians witnessed the day-long exhibition being displayed in the backyard ground of the camp.
Encouraging the jawans, DIGP said the CRPF is ready for all-round services right from containing law & order to assisting the civilians during natural calamities. “Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), India’s largest central armed police force also considered to be the world’s largest paramilitary force assists both state/UT governments in maintaining law and order and counter insurgency operations with a chequered record,” he said. Food stalls, sophisticated arms display, handloom and handicraft exhibition by the locals and games & sports were held during the programme.
Namsai SP Ankit Kumar Singh, Commandant CRPF 186 Bn. Rajiv Kumar and 2nd Command Amit Mishra as well as officials from CRPF and Namsai attended the programme. DIGP Eastern Zone GoAP T Ringu graced the evening cultural show as Chief Guest.
