Kimin, Jul 27: 10 Bn of ITBP has celebrated Kargil Vijay Week  from July 20-27 with huge fanfare and enthusiasm. Besides the troops of the unit, students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Kimin and local villagers participated in various events organized by the Bn to commemorate the victory of Operation Vijay and pay homage to the brave martyrs of the Indian Army.
During the week-long celebrations, posters, banners and photo galleries related to Kargil War were displayed along with debate, painting, drawing and patriotic song competitions. Screening of the movie ‘LOC Kargil’ and felicitation of Ex-servicemen and Next of Kin(NoK) of martyrs of different security forces was conducted by the unit.
Commandant 10 Bn Shobhan Singh Rana paid rich tribute to the martyrs and narrated the sagas of valour, courage and determination of the Indian troops during the war. Prizes to the winner of various competitions were given away by Chief Patron HWWA 10 Bn, Varsha Shobhan Rana.
