ITANAGAR, May 21: The Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) in its Joint Consultative Committee meeting from May 18 to 20 has decided to press for implementation of the Arunachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act, 1978 in letter and spirit while opposing the forceful conversion with the state government.

Attended by 120 delegates from all the IFCSAP District Units, including Community Based Faith Organizations (CBFO) and sister organizations of the entire state, the house also decided to conduct the forthcoming State Level Indigenous Youth Festival at Aalo, West Siang District.

The meeting which was held at Naharlagun under the chairmanship of its President, Tajom Tassung also deliberated on topics such as preparedness of upcoming Youth Festival, Arunachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act, 1978 and Shaman and women training etc.
