Tezu, Mar 26:  Indira Gandhi Government College students got a taste of campus placement today with the arranging of the first ever day-long “Campus Recruitment Drive”.
Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited team led by its executive Siddarth Saikia conducted the recruitment drive in which a total of eighty  final semester students of BA, BCom. and BSc took part for getting absorbed into the posts of Jio Point Assistant Manager Trainee and Jio Sales Officer Trainee.
The phases of the recruitment process included a seminar in which a detailed  presentation about the proposed jobs, job role, job locations, salary and benefits were shared with the participants. A twenty minutes online test on 4G enabled smart phone was taken, followed by a personal interview round.
The organisers too shared their satisfaction for giving opportunity to the students to experience such a programme which not only generates hope but also helps them in preparing to enter the job market after college.
The recruitment drive was organised with the active coordination by the Principal Dr. Kangki Megu and  Head of the Department of Education-cum-Coordinator Dr.Tage Yama and career guidance & placement cell of the college. IGGC Release
