ITANAGAR, Jun 13:   ‘Abo Tani Yatra’ a week-long tour program to the entire Abo Tani inhabited districts was flagged-off today by President Abo Tani Clan Organization, Yamra Taya at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Naharlagun.

Speaking to media, Taya informed that their first destination is Namsai district were they will hold at least three meetings before proceeding to Lower Dibang Valley, Siang belt and Upper Subansiri  before being  flagged- in at Papumpare district.

While elaborating the motive behind the yatra, ATCO president opined that ‘besides elucidating the people from Abo Tani clan about importance on preservation of its culture and heritage, we will also have round table discussion on synchronization of all the Abo Tani clans by eradicating social differences like boundary disputes, fine system and others.’

‘Moreover, we will take suggestion during the visit regarding our ongoing demand for separate Department for the Abo Tani Clans,’ asserted  Taya  while  adding that the organization  will also campaign to shun money culture during election to  elect quality leaders in Abo Tani inhabited areas.
