Unthinkable incident with a woman passenger

Dear Editor,

This is regarding a recent incident that took place on 18-05-18 (Friday).A lady named ABC with his cousin sister name XYZ was travelling back from Guwahati to itanagar via Bus (AS-01GC- 3688, ,Network Travels) Paltan Bazar. The Bus started at around 7:30 pm from I.S.B.T Guwahati for Itanagar and halted at "HOTEL NIKITA ,Amoni, nagaon ,(Assam)"at around 12:30 am at night, where they were supposed to have their meal and accordingly they had had their meal and then she rushed to toilet(ladies toilet) where in the midst ,a guy (from the hotel workers or officials)was peeping her  leaning on her door and mistakenly overleaned and  broke the door’s lock which was locked from inside, but luckily she was almost done, even then hearing the door slam  ,she screamed loudly and then the guy ran away, she immediately came out of the toilet and searched for the guy ,where 2 guys (who were travelling in the same Bus)reported that ,they saw the guy running inside the hotel’s kitchen. she immediately reported to the hotel  manager and officials  , and even scolded the Bus driver, but all in vain. The guy was nowhere to be found ,the lady even reported the network travels officials, Guwahati , but they didn't took any action ,and still the Bus running from Guwahati - itanagar ,(same timing) use to halt at the same hotel.

The lady she is from Itanagar and a respected citizen of our respected state Arunachal  Pradesh ,(Itanagar) So,I whole heartedly feel sorry for her and now it’s our duty to react or take immediate actions on this matter so as to stop such harassment or practices.

Lastly I request the managing committee of network Bus service Guwahati to look into the matter seriously so that every passenger (girls, women & men) can feel free and safe to travel in your service. Having faith in your service we the passengers book ticket from your service and its your responsibility to look after us or else a time may come when everyone will refuse your service.

         Kind regards

        TATU TAMUK
