TEZU, Nov 2:Roing, the picturesque town of Lower Dibang Valley District, is slowly gaining popularity among tourists after completion of the much awaited Deopani Bridge.

Sanctioned under Special Accelerated Road Development Programme – North East (SARDP – NE), the much – awaited 300 meters Bridge over Eze River was built by Podder Construction Company Delhi under the active supervision of 752 BRTF.

With this, the entire look of the township right from Meka Tri – junction to Deopani River view has had a face-lift and  has linked the interior places of the border district with the rest of the world.

 

The bridge has been opened unofficially for public movement but would be inaugurated by the a Union Minister, Government of India shortly, disclosed BRTF sources.

Good to see this kind of super structure. The high class double lane road has radically changed the scenario of the township. Drainage system, wide road and its beautification have made this place world class, said a local.

 The GREF expertise and proficiency is visible. With this hordes of tourists from adjoining Assam are visiting to enjoy fresh river water, enchanting hills and valley, he opined.

Meanwhile, Babu Raj, Officer in – Charge 487 RMPL, informed that the 16 Km of road from Meka to 16 Km point between Roing - Hunli road will be completed by December 2018, which is expected to connect Anini in Dibang Valley.

The fresh cutting of 76 Km of road will connect 21 Km beyond Hunli sub – division of L/Dibang Valley under Green Field Alignment.  The tender has already been allotted to a Hyderabad based company and work is supposed to be started soon, he disclosed.
