ITANAGAR, Jul 16:     As Chief Minister Pema Khandu completes one year in office on July 17, his government has stepped upefforts to bring transparency, efficiency and accountability by uprooting the ill practice of corruption in public administration.

 On his strict directives, the vigilance department of the state government has issued a notification directing all the Principal Secretaries, DGP, Commissioners, Secretaries, DCs, ADC (Independent), Directors, CEOs, HoDs to compulsorily sensitise citizens about corruption.

 Accordingly, all the public offices of the state government have been directed to mandatorily display notice board in front of their offices at prominent entrance area in a format issued by the vigilance department in English, Hindi and as well as in the vernacular language of the area.

The notice that is to be displayed on the board clearly asks public not to pay bribes and report such matters in case they are victim  of corruption.

 However, it also clearly states that anonymous/pseudonymous complaints will not be entertained as per the CVC guidelines. The vigilance department also specifically asked the departments to display the board prominently in front at the public entrance area of the office premises with blue background and letters in white. All Government functionaries have been directed to follow the orders with immediate effect.
