ITANAGAR, Nov 12: Reiterating the state government’s commitment towards quality education, Minister of Education, Honchun Ngandam today sought public and students support to bring new and innovative policies to strengthen the education system.
Ngandam said this while addressing the valedictory function of the 38th College Week Celebration of Dera Natung Government College, Itanagar today.
Exhorting students to maintain discipline and to be ambitious in life, he assured to extend all possible help for the all around development of the College.
Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Home, Pani Taram who was also present reiterated the government’s zero tolerance in education.
‘Students are the future of the state and are nation builders. If you maintain discipline and determination towards your goal, you will definitely succeed in life,’ he advised appealing the youths not to get lured towards anti-social activities that could hamper their career.
‘There is no short cut to success in life whether it is in academic activities or in sports, only hard work and your will power is the key to success,’ Taram said.
Earlier, Takar House was declared overall winner of the weeklong sports and cultural events. Among others, Principal DNGC, Kumar Tok and General Secretary of DNGC Students Union, Gyamar Tade also spoke on the occasion.
