Few officials from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), New Delhi led by Additional Director General IK Pandey on Tuesday carried out inspection of various ongoing road projects in the capital complex and Ziro. Pandey, was accompanied by Regional Officer, Tezpur RK Singh and other officials of PWD department.

 

The team first surveyed the under-construction four lane road from Chandanagar to Papu Nallah on NH-415, executed by TK Engineering consortium pvt ltd, then went on to assess the Trans Arunachal Highway project at Papu-Hoj, and few portions in between Potin-Panngin and Hoj-Nichipu road under Yazali circle.

 

Later the officials took stock of the present status of the road construction and discussed various issues with the officials along with construction agencies at different locations.

 

Acknowledging the plight of locals, Pandey directed the consultant PWD to prepare DPR for construction of RCC bridge over Pare river near Hoj without disturbing movement of traffic on road.

 

 

He further directed the officials to work with sincerity to provide the state with good roads which will expand the connectivity to remote places.

Highway Superintending Engineer, Doggum Ete, Capital Circle SE Ratu Techi, Doimukh Highway Division Executive Engineer In-charge TT Tara, officials from TK Engineering Pvt Ltd, Sushee Infra & Mining Ltd and other officials of PWD and Highways were present on the day.
