PASIGHAT, Nov 8:  Showing great efficiency, Pasighat police has cracked several cases related to mobile, purse, chain snatching and money thefts besides recovering several stolen bikes from individual and gang of operatives in the town in the recent past.

In the several cases registered under Pasighat PS nearly 25 youths between 16-25 years of age were arrested in connection with the theft cases.

According to I/O of the cases like SI W. Mungray and SI V. Lowang the modus operandi of the youths are targeting people moving alone while asking mobile on pretext to call someone urgently, asking Biri/Cigarette in dark alleys in the evening time. 

The officials informed that a bike which was stolen from the city on 4^th November was recovered from Aalo, West Siang on 7^th November from 3 boys who are now under 14 days police remand and interrogation is on to find out other gangs active in the region.

According to Pasighat PS OC, Atan Taki, even sons of few police personnel are also involved in the cases/offenses terming it a very concerning trend.

But now every effort is being made to bring down the rate of offenses and to crack each case with determination, he added.
