ITANAGAR, Nov 11:Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee has condoled the untimely demise of Haryom Bam, General Secretary APCC, who passed away Friday morning at his residence at Itanagar.

The body of the veteran leader was brought to Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, Itanagar and President APCC Takam Sanjoy, along with party members paid their last respects. Two minutes silence was observed and the party flag in the APCC office will fly half mast for two days as a mark of respect to the departed soul. His last rites will be performed at his native Daring in West Siang district.

Late Bam was associated with the INC party since 1980 and held various posts till his last breath.   

APCC described him as an active, energetic, sincere and dedicated Congress leader, who rendered selfless service for the greater interest of INC party in the State. He was a compassionate human being, man of discipline & principle, people-friendly, down to earth person and a personality with a great political wisdom.

Chera Taya, General Secy APCC, Choki Tatung, Secretary APCC and Marpin Basar, President DCC, West Siang will attend the last rites.

Galo Welfare Society has also condoled the demise of Haryom Bam. Furthermore, the Lego Lemgo Welfare Society (LLWS) has also mourned the passing of Bam who was a founder member of Lego Lemgo Welfare Society. There are no words to adequately express our deep shock and grief, it said in a release.
